About us

The International First Aid Society IFAS, is an international Non Governmental organization that has a special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations Headquarters in New York, U.S.A. IFAS is an affiliate of the International Development and Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Greece.IFAS has a Cooperation agreement with the Federal Government of Nigeria with emphasis on development, skills training for poverty reduction, First Aid and humanitarian assistance.

Activities

The activities of IFAS commenced in Nigeria in1980 with the establishment of First Aid clubs in many schools in all the six geographical zones in Nigeria. The youths were trained on basic First Aid principles and practice. IFAS donated fully equipped First Aid Boxes to all the schools where First Aid Clubs were established in all the six geographical zones.
